Favorite Internet Activities

As discussed in this online site’s frequently asked questions page, it is possible to surf on the internet, even though it is not possible to drive there at this point in time. In addition to surfing, many people enjoy a variety of other internets online activities, including:

  1. browsing,
  2. searching, and
  3. publishing

This week, OnlineInternetWebsite.com asks: what’s your favorite online inter-webnet activity, and why?

Centor

This is our first in a series of posts spotlighting online websites that exist in the world web wide world. Centor Media is an online web page for a company selling posters, comic books, cards, and other such things. It has many of the features that make web world pages great, including easy-to-read text, big underlined hyper-web-link texts in many colors, lots of repetition to make sure that “virtual visitors” get the site’s message, a site counter, a varied and interesting collection of inter-links to other sites, and great information of general interest on topics like centaurs and the holocaust.

Discovery of a New Internets World Online

It seems that Lance McCord, a frequent visitor to the online internet web world and author of a personal website, has discovered one of the internets to which George W. Bush presumably referred in the debate with John Kerry cited previously on this site. Visit his website for an informative account of his discovery of this parallel web universe.

Visiting the internets

Question

Dear Director, Webmaster Online Internet Management Specialist Communications Analyst Technician of Information Technologies,

Someone told me that there’s this thing called internets where I can visit a web world and telecommunicate technologically with other technologies? Can you give me directions to this interweb? How long a drive is it from Boston?

Sincerely,
Confused in Boston

Answer

Dear Confused in Boston,

The person who told you that there is a thing called internets where you can visit a web world and telecommunicate technologically with other technologies is quite correct. In fact, President George W. Bush mentioned the internets in the debate with Senator John Kerry that occurred last Friday. President Bush cited the rumor, circulating on the internets, that he had plans to reinstitute the draft.

This is just one of the many inter-online communication message web-threads that has circulated the internets in recent weeks. Others include the supposed existence of a google, and speculation that Coca-Cola has been contaminated by non-interweb-world wide terrorists.

Regrettably, at this time it is not possible to visit the online internets by car, or by driving in any other vehicle. It is, however, possible to “surf” the internets, though only when using specially made “web-surfing” equipment.

On behalf of the World Wide Online Internet Website Community, I hope that you continue to explore the many technological facets of the internets, and that you find such explorations fruitful and enlightening.

Please feel free to contact me if I can be of further assistance.

Sincerely,
Jesse Pearlman Karlsberg

Presidential Campaigns and the Internets

In the debate last Friday between Senator John Kerry and President George W. Bush, the President mentioned that “there’s a rumor going around the internets that we’re going to reinstate the draft.” OIW congratulates the President on taking time during the debates to educate the public on matters concerning the world wide internets web presence network.

This is not the first time that a Presidential candidate has helped inform the public about the web-net sphere during a Presidential campaign. Speaking with CNN news anchor Wolf Blitzer in 1999, Al Gore announced to the public that he had invented the internet. Taking Bush’s comment on “the internets” into consideration, however, the question arises, “Which one?” In fact, how many internets are there, and what, pray tell, differentiates them?

It seems this most recent Presidential campaign comment on the interweb has led to more questions than answers.
